- Dr. Elmer Towns, co-founder of Liberty University, agrees to serve on the Oral Learners Initiative advisory board.
- OLI Missionaries Robb Hawks and Paul Parks spent three weeks in Vododara and Jaipur, India helping Indian national leaders produce the first olBi course in Gujarati, Hindi, and Tamil.
India Trip births new initiative as OLI is asked to create an Oral Learners Bible Institute to train illiterate men and women to become pastors and church leaders.

- Bengali Shout in Production, OLI missionary Robb Hawks visits Dhaka, Bangladesh to record "Storms of Life" in Bengali.
- Dr. D. Mohan, General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God, India, invites OLI to return to India and pursue partnerships with 12 District Superintendents to teach how to use Shout to evangelize and plant churches.
